I apologize. I haven't really been keeping up with this, and if you are one of the people who checks for updates and has given up , I'm sorry. I will try to catch you up in a concise format.
What can I say? This summer has been more exciting than most. I've seen Poison, Styx, REO Speedwagon, and Def Leppard in concert.
I went downtown for Red White and Boom for the umpteenth time. I hate COTA.
I saw Wicked at the Ohio Theatre. (Still haven't finished the book).
Erica and Bill had a pretty kickass birthday party.
I obtained a pool table. Thanks to Billdude for helping me move it.
I saw the Simpsons Movie and loved it. I saw Transformers and loved it.
I recently saw the outdoor drama Tecumseh with Erica, Miranda and Josh. I thought it was good. I miss Tecumseh.
My camera broke. I was sad, really sad. I got a new one, but haven't used it much, which makes me sad too.
My phone broke. I just got a new one yesterday. It rocks. It's not an iPhone. I don't really need an iPhone ... crazy I know (coming from me).
I got in a car accident last Thursday. Not my fault. I was rear ended. The Jeep was unharmed. The other party not so much.
I've been really stressed and excited about work. The good news? I was appointed directly by our CEO to be a member of our new website committee who is overseeing the construction of our company's new website. I came in late to our website committee but I think I've had a lot to offer. Especially since I think I have the most experience in creating a website. I was also in a meeting this past Friday with some "higher ups" discussing new technologies for our company. I'm not really tooting my own horn, but these make me hopeful that people are realizing I'm very knowledgeable about these things and will be beneficial for my future.
The bad news is we've been incredibly over worked recently since Becca left. I've worked overtime the past two weeks (optional) to make sure were caught up in our work. And to add insult to injury our company just completed an evaluation of job titles and my position is one of lowest, which I think is completely off base in comparison to other positions. It doesn't really upset me in terms of pay as much as it is disrespectful of the work that Josh and I have put into developing the department into what it is now. When I first came over it was completely disorganized and dare I say unprofessional? We have done a lot.
On another stressful front Erica and I are in the search of a new apartment. And to answer your question of why we are moving. We need more space. We have a pool table! I'll have more about this subject next time. Until then, stay true to yourself and be cool.
On a final note my friends rock. You know who you are.

Well Jarby, looks like things are going well, or at least forward.
ReplyDeleteYou've gotta teach me how to play *real* pool, because I'm a loser, and I need some mad Jarbe-skillz to score the ladies.
I hope the apartment search goes well.
